(1 stars) - don't do it. it's a toxic fad!
This bulb is made with more PLASTICS than a regular bulb. Manufacturing these plastics produces DIOXINS that float up into the atmosphere and, through wind currents, land at the polar regions of the earth, dumping toxins on the lands and life there. This bulb is made of MERCURY which cannot be disposed of in the regular trash. It must be taken to a company that specifically handles the TOXIC materials. Instead of people disposing of these properly, the toxic bulbs end up in landfills, adding to the mercury toxicity of landfills and exposure of sanitation workers who don't deserve to be exposed. According to energy star, it is said that this product reduces carbon emissions but, the energy source used in the energy star reports is electricity from COAL PLANTS; nearly the most toxic energy source available. COAL PLANTS release HUGE amounts of carbon and MERCURY into the atmosphere! Buy a regular light bulb. Purchase your power from solar and wind. Think holistically. Would you want to live with this light bulb in your back yard for the next 200-1000 years while it attempts to biodegrade? Protect your home and your temple; this earth and your body. Live clean brothers and sisters! Make conscious, holistic consumer choices. Don't let poorly thought out FADS guider your consumer choices! It arrived super fast and works great. These CFL bulbs save me a lot of money off my monthly electric bill. They are worth the cost.

I ordered a couple of these bulbs, 1 came bad(a normal issue on any bulb), they replaced it at no cost to me and the customer service rep. I talked to was allways willing to help me, even when my order was pretty small.. 5 stars all the way.!!

I enjoyed this product for about a year and then it went bad. Would do nothing but flicker.

I haven't found any 3-way flourescent bulb that are great. This is one of the better ones I've tried, but the light output at 25 watts still doesn't seem anything near a regular 100 watt bulb. For the price I probably would not buy it again. I'd buy a regular 3 way or a single power flourescent.
