(4 stars) - Something Different for the Wife or Girlfriend
My wife loves filligree jewelry, so when I saw this pendant and chain, I bought it for her. It's a lovely piece, and to my eye, looks much more expensive than it is. However, as other reviewers have noted, its much darker than what is shown. Under normal viewing conditions, you will not be able to see the filligree pattern on the back of the pendant.

I was attracted to the color shown in the picture, but when it arrived, I was slightly disappointed at how dark of a red the pendant actually was. However, my wife (who hadn't seen the pictures on Amazon) is pleased with it, so if she's happy, I am. Just be aware that it's not going to be such a bright ruby red as shown.

color misrepresentation.... thecolor was 10x darker then shown, the reverse side detail (fillagree) was was not visable from the front...J. F. W.

Against skin, this pendant looks almost black. Even when held up to the light it isn't even close to the beautiful red in the photos. The detailing and chain are well done, and the pendant is quite substantial, however, I returned this item as I really wanted something RED.

(4 stars) - Not quite as pictured, but I love it
The heart is definitely darker than pictured; you can't really see the back design through it. Nevertheless, I always get compliments when I wear it and I really do love it. I actually prefer the darker color. I think the glass piece sits perfectly well inside the setting; I have never had a problem with it wiggling or seeming loose at all. If you expect it to be bright and transparent, you may be disappointed, but it is a beautiful piece the way it is in my opinion. Love the earrings too, although I have a problem with them getting turned around backwards on the hook.
