(5 stars) - The evolution of disco music
This is hard 21st-century disco. A lot of people compare Justice to Daft Punk, but don't buy this expecting to hear anything like Daft Punk. This sound is completely different. It's harder and heavier. The highlights for me are "Genesis" and "Phantom" (pts. I & II). "D.A.N.C.E." and "DVNO" are a lot more approachable for those who are looking for a more mainstream sound. "Stress" is the only track that I hit the skip button on. Other than that, the CD plays very well all the way through. One slight disappointment for me is the Uffie track "The Party". I really like "Hot Chick" by Uffie, but her contribution here is nowhere near as good. She can do better.

All I can say about this album is WHOA

If you have a powerful stereo this album will rock the house like nothing I've ever heard. Its incredibly dynamic, almost tearing the air around you. Mix in a little alcohol and prepare to be transported to planet Justice!!

I wouldn't pick this up if you only have a boom box, there is a lot of transient sub-bass that needs real woofers (12"+) to do it justice.

(5 stars) - An impressive debut
I can't deny not being impressed by the majority of the tracks on this album. I'm extremely purist when it comes to most dance music but Justice managed to wow me. While they're clearly heavily influenced by their fellow Frenchmen Daft Punk it doesn't prohibit them from creating their own unique sound. Their tracks are layered with funky beats and are guaranteed to get househeads on the dance floor. Here are my track ratings;

This album by "the other" French dance duo is not to be missed. While not as ground breaking as most of Daft Punk's work it's definitely respectable in its own right. Give it a listen and hopefully you'll be as impressed as I was.

(4 stars) - Great Album
While Justice is nowhere near as great as Daft Punk, they're still really good. Especially the first song, Genesis. It has a very heavy electro house sound that I really like. Also, D.A.N.C.E. is really cool, I love the disco sound it has. The rest of the album is good too but those are songs that stood out to me. If you're into Daft Punk I think you'll definitely like this.

wow. and i bet a lot of the same people that loved this said Crystal Castles was 'boring and untalented'. this album is repetitive and annoying. Crystal Castles blows this away with energy and feeling.
