Product Reviews (4 stars) - A decent and really collector item... (of course only for Stone's Collectors) The most important thing here is: This is not an official release.
"Rock n' Rolling Stones" was originaly released at Decca Records in 1973 only for UK as Vinyl and deleted soon later. The original Lp comes with a collection of rock and roll versions made by the Stones in the 60's (specially Berry covers) and taken from various previous albums like England's Newest Hit Makers, Now, December's Children, Out Of Our Heads, Get Yer Ya Yas Out... but nothing new at all.
This bootleg cd is a near recreation from the original album on cd; "made in URSS" and now out of print (silver pressed/factory made cd not a cd-r) with a great sound but not better than the Abcko's 2002 remasters. Come with the same songs as the original LP but contains a 9 bonus tracks recorded live from Sydney 1972 w/ Mick Taylor on guitar and acceptable stereo sound (Brown Sugar,Bitch, Rocks Off, Gimme Shelter, Happy, Tumbling Dice, Love In Vain, Sweet Virginia and You Can't Always Get What You Want)
The presentation is great; many rare images with exahustive information about singles and other relatives albums from these years,an amazing and collectable mini poster... all that you can need for a decent release.
If you are a stone's collector maybe this cd can be a great addition for your Stone's stuff.
NOTE; there's a mistake on the songs list, the track # 5 "Bye Bye Johnny" is really "We Love You"
(It's a bootleg and is not perfect at all)
(5 stars) - Rolling Stones Live with Mick Taylor ! Great Compilation album.ALL Bonus tracks Are Live with Mick TAYLOR! Brown Sugar, Btch, Rocks Off, Gimme Shelter, Happy, Tumbling Dice, Love in Vain, Sweet Virginia, You Can't Always Get What You Want.
Bonus tracks recorded live at Royal Randwick Racecourse,Sydney, Australia, 27 Feb.-1973. The Bonus tracks are in excellent stereo quality, and a great Stones performance! The artwork packaging is first rate. Each CD features the original album artwork plus additional album, singles, E.P.From various countries (UK, France, Germany, USA and Japan). The silver pressed CD(MEANS LIKE YOU WOULD BUY IN A STORE,NOT A CDR)is silk-screened with The original album label & Includes a most excellent poster!
(3 stars) - Early 1970's compilation of 1960's Stones tracks. "Rock N'Rolling Stones" was an early 1970's British Decca compilation of 1960's Rolling Stones recordings, including several tracks which were hard to get at the time. This Russian reissue of the album has some interesting live concert bonus tracks, but the attempt to re-create the album itself does not use all of the correct versions & mixes. The notable inclusion on the original vinyl L.P. was the only-ever stereo release of "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love"(the 2nd version-RCA Studios/Hollywood), but on this CD, you get the mono demo version from Regent Sound Studios in London. Also, the packaging for the CD lists "Bye Bye Johnny", but the CD plays the song "We Love You" Instead
