Our dog just loves this toy! It's his all time favorite. Like other reviewers, we limit his time with it so neither the chicken nor our hearing is destroyed.

(5 stars) - ONE TOUGH CHICKEN
Besides being a good looking chick, Henrietta takes doggy shaking and chewing like a real trooper. Our boxer, Rupi has been trying to tear off a drumstick or the beak for a few weeks now and Henrietta has withstood the abuse so far.

My dog received her first Henrietta Chicken as a gift and immediately fell in love. The unusual squeaker makes a loud variable screaming sort of noise that she just adores. Part of her play is to make Henrietta squeal as much as possible.

This toy is tougher than the usual hollow toy...she has not chewed it up yet, which says a lot about the quality of the toy (of course, the rule at our house is that she can only play with Henrietta during daylight hours...it's that loud...I let her play with it for awhile and then put it away for next time). The body of the chicken is filled with polyfill, unlike a lot of hollow squeak toys. I've noticed that my girl steps on the body often during play to make it squeak.

I'm in love with this toy, too. It's a pleasure to see my girl have such fun with it. I bought three extras so she will always have a Henrietta to play with.

First,let me preface this by saying THIS IS NOT A CHEW TOY! If your dog is an insane, rapacious chewer he will destroy this chicken. If you can control your dog, or your dog understands that this is a squeaky toy to have fun with, then watch out because they'll go crazy.

We got our 3 y/o Dutch Shepherd one of these toys when we were in Canada doing fieldwork (he is a working dog that works with my wife who is a Wildlife Biologist). Our dog went crazy with the squeaking, honking sound and loved his new found chicken friend. At first he chewed a little on it so we taught him not to, and now they last 6 months and are in perfect condition except for the noisemaker inside. We always have to have spares on hand because it has become one of his favorite toys to make noise with. When one dies he gets a brand new one, and he acts the same enthusiastic way as the last one.

(5 stars) - Henrietta is making my dog CRAZY!!!
When I first found Henrietta in our local feed & supply store I thought, why not, Karma loves things that make noise. Well, BIG mistake. She immediately took it out of the bag and started honking away. Actually, I don't know who liked it more, her or my husband. Anyway, we're on #3 now and have a spare hidden away. Thanks for the entertainment.
