(4 stars) - A decent CD reissue effort
This Russian expanded CD reissue of the early 1970's British Decca compilation album nearly gets it right. However, the CD opens with version one of "Poison Ivy"(the version produced by the British Decca staff producer) instead of the correct version 2(the version from the group's first E.P.). Also, on the original vinyl L.P., "2120 S.Michigan Avenue" is in stereo. Here it is in mono sound. Otherwise, the CD gets everything right. The 7 bonus tracks are nothing rare, but it does extend the playing time of the CD, so why complain? By the way, the correct version(version 2) of "Poison Ivy" is presently available on the 2002 ABKCO expanded/remastered edition of "More Hot Rocks", and the stereo "2120 S.Michigan Avenue" is presently available on the 2002 ABKCO remaster of "12 x 5"
