Our garage door started shaking, then stopped midway and wouldn't fully open. This occured over the course of months, but I was too lazy to fix it. I called a garage door repairman, but he said it would be 2 days before he could come out. In the meantime, I went to amazon to see if I could find a carriage, since it seemed like the problem was most likely there. The screw drive didn't seem to be stripped. I read the reviews and others seemed to be helped by this product. I bought it and probably saved about $60. Thanks!!!

This worked great and delivery was muy pronto! It also made my door a lot less noisy.

Received the part promptly, ready for installation. Took at most 30 minutes to install, run the door up and down a few times to confirm correct operation, and the job was done.
I tried a couple other sites, not through Amazon. Never got the part, but fortunately wasn't charged, either. Apparently, those companies are out of business. If I need another part for a gargage door opener, I'll look through Amazon, first.

Our garage door would open partially and then begin making a grinding noise. The screw-drive would not pull the door past the first of 2 joints in the screw-track.
From looking at it, this is the part that rides the drive-screw track and pulls the door open or closed. It will eventually wear down from continued usage. This is not a defect - it wears down from contact with the drive-screw. My part failed after 10 years of every-day garage door usage. It took about 20 minutes to swap out the old part with the replacement.
SUGGESTIONS:
Plan on having some hand cleaner around because of grease on the screw-drive.
Keeping the screw-drive lubricated as the manufacturer suggests will probably make this part last longer.
(5 stars) - Quick and inexpensive fix
It took less than 10 minutes to replace the trolley. This inexpensive fix saved me from buying and installing a new garage door opener. The garage door opener worked great for 9 years before the old trolley wore out. It may have gone longer if I greased the screw during that time.
