(5 stars) - Hours of fun for the kitties
I bought this for my kitties for Christmas a year ago, and they continue to use it every day! Both cats love to sit in the middle and play with the ball. And one of them ONLY sharpens her claws on this - never on my furniture anymore :) I replace the cardboard about once every month or two. Best toy I have bought for them.

(5 stars) - HAPPY CAT SCRATCH FEVER
Living on a small farm surrounded by large tracts of forest, we began our own trap, spay & release and rescue mission of feral felines several years ago. Those wanting to live with humans after getting whacked on were allowed to do so. We've tried several toys. The Turbo Scratcher Cat Toy is a hit. With most cat toys, unless we are either throwing it or attached to the opposite end of the bungee, rope or whatever, our cats quickly lose interest. Not so with the Turbo Scratcher. Our colony gives a unanimous 5-Stars. We had to buy two to avoid the king-of-the-mountain tussles to determine which top cat gets to lay on it. It is hilarious to see one cat sitting in the middle while two more on opposite sides play ping-pong slapping the ball back and forth. The cat nip draws them like flies to a picnic. Every month we pour out the old cat nip and add new which keeps the toy appealing like new. It is nice for a change to be entertained rather than be forced to participate in a group contact sport, especially when tired and out numbered. We have one cat who can turn a door knob and open a door. In spite of his many efforts to pop the ball lose, he has not yet succeeded. We've not been able to find the inserts as cheaply as 3 for $9.00. They are more like $4.00 each, but that's still cheaper than a new sofa or chair. I'm certain that some building supply company somewhere makes and sells the corrugated cardboard material used for the inserts either in 4X8 sheets like plywood or in rolls or strips. The pet stores charge a fortune. It would be easy enough to cut the circles with a jigsaw or roll your own. When I find it, it will be posted here. There is no big rush since the inserts should last several months. One more note: Cats need to be able to hook their claws into something high like a tree and stretch the full length of their bodies to maintain health and conditioning. Cat trees wrapped in sisal rope cost hundreds of dollars - and most are extremely unstable and dangerous. Sisal rope, 3/8" diameter is about $40.00 for 200 feet. An 8-foot, 4X4 post is about $5.00. If you have room, make your own scratching and climbing post and firmly mount it, top and bottom, in your home or apartment. Your furniture will last longer and your cats will love it.

(4 stars) - Almost perfect, but she pops the ball out
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1QQ8LNOX11LBI It's a great toy. My cat loves it. But here's the drawback: she pops the ball out and sometimes I never find it. It took her two weeks to pop it out the first time. After that, it only took her a day to pop it out again. I put it back and watched her do it four times in a row. I left her alone with the toy and the ball disappeared and I still haven't found it. She kept going to the track and looking for the ball. Duh!

So I bought three replacement balls, about $5 each. The original was plain white but the replacements are clear colors and have LEDs in them. She likes them too, but not any more than the original plain one. I have to watch her with the toy because she pulls the balls out. Apparently that's a big thrill for her.

I wish they would make the track so it curved over just a bit more, so the ball couldn't come out. Then it would be perfect.

I also have the Petmate Crazy Circle Interactive Cat Toy (Large). It's similar but the center is empty and the track is enclosed, with multiple openings where the cat can stick her paws in. My cat likes it but not as much as the Bergen Turbo. She only plays with the Petmate when the ball for the other one is missing.

they play ping pong on it. very cute! get it, you won't regret it. they're always hanging out near the toy and playing it every morning and evening.

(5 stars) - Non-stop fun!!
I recently moved from a 3 bedroom apartment to a studio with my two 6 1/2 year old cats. I have been looking for stimulating toys that will encourage exercise in such a confined space. The turbo scratcher has been their favorite toy so far. They have both played non-stop with the turbo scratcher since it arrived. This is a must buy!!
