(5 stars) - aweesome
Great entertaining game that will take you awhile. Awesome on the computer. Fast shipping, good price, it was just such a wonderful transaction.

(4 stars) - Get ready to say goodbye to your social life!
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion continues to this day to set the standard for RPG games. You can be whatever you wish to be in this game, in game careers range from a professional thief to a knight in shinning armor.

The main quest of Oblivion is technically optional and you are only forced to do the tutorial however once your out of the sewers (starting/tutorial area) the game is an open ended game world where the player can take as long as he/she likes.

The game really does come into its own once you can create your own custom spells and there are hundreds of different (and fun!) custom spell ideas floating around the world wide web.

The graphics are very immersive although the actual game world is smaller then the previous elder scrolls game (morrowind) and the character advancement system has also been simplified. I recommend a 2.4ghz dual core CPU for this game or a 2.8ghz single core CPU as well as 2gb ram and at least a 256mb video card, the minimum requirements given for this game are frankly not enough to play the game smoothly.

My only complaint about Oblivion is that the game contains vast amounts of software bugs so please if you are playing for the first time download and install the latest patch then install the unofficial oblivion community patch for this game.

(1 stars) - BUGS,BUGS EVERY WHERE BUGS
I have a VOODOO top of the line line rig so the problems are not with the PC.IT is in the game.Freezes up,Black screen, blue screen, yellow screen,When turning half the screen goes blank sometimes. Not worth the price or effort. It got to the point that my pc would shut down on the blue screen of death.( The pc closed down to prevent damage )Near the end of the game it just quit loading. The loading bar would freeze about half way so I never got to finish the game.BEWARE THIS GAME COULD DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!!

(5 stars) - Best RPG ever, hands down.
This game is engaging and massive. You can do anything you want, kill any character you want, be part of tons of different guilds. There's a huge skill tree with no limitations on what you can learn for any type of character. If you are a serious RPG gamer, you have to have this game.

(3 stars) - Fun game, lame map
While Oblivion is a great game it didn't give me the "wow!" feeling that morrowind did. It's still the Elder Scrolls so all of the things in terms of gameplay that made Morrowind such a fun game are still here, with a shiny new coat, but it just doesn't have that epic feeling that Morrowind had. Don't get me wrong, this is a great game, but as a fan of III I can't help but compare the two and Oblivion falls short in a few areas. For instance the map itself doesn't hold a candle to Morrowind. Morrowind just seemed freakin' HUGE! And it wasn't just big, it was diverse. You had forests, deserts, mountains, crazy mushroom tree like areas, beaches, swamps etc. Oblivion's map is all pretty much the same. It's a forest, and... oh yea! Some mountains. My biggest gripe is how the map ends with an invisible barrier. The visuals in this game are absolutely gorgeous, and the landscape just begs for exploration. Venture too far however and you're stopped in your tracks and get a "You can't go this way, turn around" message. Frankly, I thought that kind of thing was behind us as a society. I understand that the game world can't go on forever but couldn't they use impassable mountains or water as the boundary instead of an invisible barrier and a scolding? One star off for that alone. Fast traveling is a nice convenience but it makes the game world feel small. There is no need to plan your route and the fact that the world looks the same everywhere you go just doesn't deliver the immersion that Morrowind did of having a huge and diverse continent at your fingertips. The towns all look the same too. No cultural or architectural differences worth noting between settlements. I miss the Telavani towers and the ashlander camps and the way the human and elven towns looked and felt different. Oblivion's map is pretty bland in comparison. On the plus side the game is beautiful. While lacking diversity the world looks fantastic. The hours of voice work they recorded is amazing as well. The options to personalize gameplay are vast and the story is great. The interface is better than Morrowind in respect to keeping quests organized too. The journal in Morrowind made it tough to pick up where you left off if you took a lengthy break from the game. That has been fixed here thankfully. I know I've been griping but Oblivion is definitely worth several play throughs. This game is another example of a sad trend however. Ever since the "next gen" thing happened a couple years ago developers have been sacrificing content for graphics. In order to put a shiny sheen on this game we lost a vast and diverse world to play in. I hope someday we can have both.
-1 star for the invisible "end of the world" boundary.
-1 star for a small map that lacks diversity.
+1 star for no freakin' cliff racers!
