I used to make babyfood in large batches and found this unit to be way to small. I went out and got a large food processor and that worked for awhile. Now that my baby is 11 months and I'm not pureeing as much as before and find I'm making food in smaller batches I'm very happy that I purchased this food mill (aka food processor). I think it works wonderfully and is very powerful.

I just bought this for my second child in hopes that I would make my own baby food. This food mill is awesome and is so easy to use and clean up. I have had no problems blending foods. It works like a charm. Highly recommend this product.
 (3 stars) - not a mill, a chopper
This is not a food mill, it is more like a cheap/clunky version of a mini-cuisinart. It will not puree (especially not smaller amounts) so it has not been useful for baby food... yet. I'll be able to use it when my baby graduates from purees to finely chopped foods. But frankly I'd prefer to have a good mini-cuisinart for that job and Lowe's sells them for less than 40$. So, all told, a waste of money for me, though it may work fine for those who want things chopped.

After three children you think I wouldn't still be discovering new baby items to use that make my life easier, but sure enough, somehow this electric food mill slipped by until now. I admit that I was a little skeptical of this at first because I had used their hand crank food mill and HATED it, but this one is a completely different animal. I loved this thing. As soon as my daughter was ready for rice cereal/purees, I pulled this thing out and within seconds I had food ready for her to eat. Bananas, avocado, steamed carrots, table food, etc. all turned into instant baby food. I could control its thickness and fineness by adding more/less water and using/not using the turbo setting. Super easy to use, incredibly easy to clean. Perfect unless you're looking to make LOTS of baby food all at once...then you'll need something more the size of a food processor.
