(5 stars) - Awesome Little Bit Of Science
We bought calibration bag with an analog hydrometer and it did exactly what it said it would do. It takes 48 hours to be accurate, but we could see that our hydrometer was off by a few percentage points. Not a big deal for us, as we're just trying to keep mold out of our house, but if you're storing cigars, this would be a necessity. Plus, if I am remembering correctly, it's good for a couple of years. It's inexpensive and it does exactly what it says it will do!

This product worked just as advertised. Put the hygrometer in the bag, close it (zip-lock type bag), and let it sit for 36 hours and the calibration will be complete. I bought the Caliber III digital hygrometer and when I checked it at the 24 hour point, it read precisely the 75% humidity that this bag produces. I let it sit in the bag for the remainder of the "36 hour" time period, but nothing changed, it still read 75% humidity. That's a testament to both the calibration pack/bag, and the hygrometer.

But the bag is a little small, so if you need to calibrate a hygrometer that is larger than the bag, you'll have to put it in a Tupperware container or ziploc bags. Not sure how much, if any, this changes the results. My results were still fairly on gauge.

Works great to find out how accurate your hygrometer is and to calibrate it to the right humidity.

It worked, I tested 2 hydrometers that were in the same humidor but at different humidity levels. Just pop it in, wait 24-36 hours and you can see if your hydrometer is correct or how much its off by.
