(4 stars) - Left you wanting more
The movie was enjoyable, but it felt like the was more to be said when it ended. I guess that was to be expected in a TV series. The special effects were very good and the characters were believable.

(3 stars) - Silly mistakes spoil end result
I was quite enjoying these vignettes of Wellsian science-fiction until close to the end of the second episode when an officer in the Royal Navy saluted indoors (not done) and did so with his left hand (ridiculous). Surely somebody could have checked out Naval protocol on such an elementary matter as saluting?
Kate Cummings (ex-Royal Australian Navy)

(5 stars) - A fictional Wells
Kudos to Hallmark for a clever, creative and absolutely charming look into the life and times of H.G. Wells. Tom Ward is compelling as Wells, and a stellar supporting cast adds even more smiles in a clearly family-oriented film. A great deal of license has been taken with the historical record, but after you've watched this film you (1) will want to see it again, and (2) will wish that the real H.G. Wells could have been as endearing. We need more stories like this one!

(5 stars) - H.G. Wells
A gem! A nicely melded series of Wells' stories in a visual medium. You can't be the price, either!

(5 stars) - Worlds-within-Worlds, Wheels-within-Wheels +++
"Watch what you ask for -- you may get it" and "May you live in interesting times". This seems to be the lesson of this finely-convoluted show. I may not have believed it easy or possible to create such an H. G. Wells-inspired multifaceted movie -- to have it funny, enjoyable and understandable in under ten hours. But, indeed, that is what we have in "The Infinite Worlds of H. G. Wells". This wonderful fun movie is great for H. G. Wells fans, sci-fi fans, history fans, romance fans and just about everyone. It even touched-on most of H. G. Well's main topics by weaving them naturally into the ongoing plot. It was so easy for me to get into this show and its leading couple. It was so colorful, thematic and lively with clever action. Yet, despite me being a sci-fi-fantasy-gaming fan, I was pleasantly tricked and totally fooled by some of the turns and twists -- surprised big-time several times -- for final delight +++
