Product Details Sanus_ HTB3_ Steel Construction, Home Theater/Box speaker Stands w/ Tear Drop Base
Product Reviews (2 stars) - Not impressed Build quality felt pretty good, but when I put this together one of the clasps used to hold the pole up wouldn't stay. Also, at maximum height (which isn't very high) it felt kind of shaky. I am sending it back.
(5 stars) - Works well with Bose cube speakers I have a Bose system with the small cube speakers. When looking at the various speaker stands available, it became obvious that the Bose stands were MUCH more expensive than others with similar designs. I chose the Sanus stands because of the appearance (I like the teardrop base). They are easy to assemble using only the included wrench and a screwdriver. You simply thread the speaker wire through the vertical part (as another reviewer noted, the exit hole is small, so you do have to grasp the end of the wires and pull them through - this probably took me 2-3 minutes for both stands) and then tighten everything.
The set includes a variety of brackets to attach various speakers, along with a variety of bolts and screws. The standard bracket mounts the Bose speakers perfectly without any difficulty at all.
Another advantage of this system is that the height can be adjusted easily by simply telescoping the upper portion into the lower, then tightening the upper portion firmly so it doesn't shift.
All in all, I'm very pleased with the function of the stands, particularly at the relatively lower price.
(5 stars) - Excellent Quality Excellent quality. Packaged well, so no damage during shipping. Was easy to pull 16 gauge speaker wire through and attach my Energy Take Classics. Also, heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing.
(5 stars) - Works Well for Me I purchased these stands for my Take Classic speakers. They are small speakers (about 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 7 3/4). What I found was that the stands hold the speakers, but they don't fit them well. The mounting bracket on my speakers is at the top of the speaker, but the curve of the stands doesn't allow me to turn the stand the proper way. I have to turn the curve toward the front of the stand. It works because the speaker is light, but it is less stable. Not sure why they don't have a version with a longer neck (part above the curve), as it seems these stands wouldn't fit many speakers except those with mounting brackets at the bottom of the speaker.
I really like the mounting options that came with the stands as well as the ability to hide the speaker wire inside the stand. Very good price at Amazon.
(5 stars) - Great Product! This was one of the smarter buys I've made. I almost purchased stands from Best Buy which were twice as much and I'm glad I decided to give these a try. I bought two pairs of these for my family room surround sound system. Very easy to install and run the wire up the stand. A hint for those who have trouble with running the wire up the stand I suggest doing it before you put the bottom and top together. It also helps if you have some needlenose pliers to pull the wire out of the opening.
Extremely sturdy on carpet (even without the included carpet spikes). I can only imagine how much better they would be on hardwoods. Comes with so many different brackets for the speakers.
I plan on purchasing two more pairs of these when I buy my surround sound system for the master bedroom! A++
