Product Details

Good habits, like eating a nutritious diet and exercising regularly, are an important part of staying healthy. So is maintaining the appropriate weight for your body type. Weight Watchers knows that monitoring weight can influence successful long-term weight loss. That's why they've used the latest weight monitoring technologies in developing the Weight Watchers WW42 Glass Platform Scale.

Engineered to the highest precision standards using semi-conductor technology and a multiple load cell system, the Weight Watchers WW42 displays highly accurate weights in 0.1 pound, or 50 gram, increments. Designed to provide you with your readings as soon as you step on it, the scale displays its readings on an easy-to-read 1.2 x 3-inch LCD monitor. The scale's platform is made from high-strength, impact-resistant glass, while the durable plastic frame is finished with a gleaming chrome exterior for an ultra modern look. The scale is easy to pick up and comfortable to stand on, and it will fit handsomely in any contemporary bathroom. The Weight Watchers WW42 features a 380 pound weight capacity, a lifetime lithium battery that you should never have to change, and comes with a 10-year manufacturer's warranty.

Product Reviews

(1 stars) - Do not buy this scale
Don't buy this product. I liked the look and what I thought would be accuracy. Unfortunately, I didn't read some of the earlier reviews and was unpleasantly surprised to note that the scale measurements vary greatly. The variance can be anywhere from ounces to over 15 pounds! Wish I had not bought this product and had to dig out my old $15 scale for my true weight.

(4 stars) - Love It!
Everything you need in a scale, now if it only lost the weight for me.

(5 stars) - I like this scale a lot!
I've owned this scale for a year now and just ordered one for my daughter. Mine is incredibly accurate and in an effort to test it, I have stepped on and off of it several time in succesion and it always reads the same for me. I have weighed bags of sugar and flour and similar items and not had a problem. I would recommend, although obviously others do not feel the same way.

(2 stars) - Nice Looking and Long Lasting but Inconsistent
I've had this scale for years, and it's still working. I've never had to replace the batteries. The readout is large and easy to read. The problem is that the readings are inconsistent from minute to minute by as much as five pounds. I put a footprint for the scale on a level spot on the bathroom floor with electrical tape, and that's helped. It also seems to be sensitive to where you step on it, i.e., in the center or towards the edges. This scale drives me nuts!!! I've kept it because it looks nice, keeps working, I don't weigh myself that often and I'm cheap. But now that I'm seriously trying to loose some body fat, this scale is destined for in the trash.

(5 stars) - Accurate for the fat man
Since the weight capacity for this scale is 380 pounds, I expected it to be more accurate than most of the dial scales that I've used in the past with a 300 pound capacity... especially since I'm hovering around that 300 pound mark. I've been very pleased with its consistency as I am on Weight Watchers and seeing a pound or two drop off each week.

The large digital readout is definitely a great feature. No more squinting to see where that red dial falls on those itty bitty black lines. I used to "guesstimate" my weight - now I know what it is!

Does it actually weigh me at my correct weight? Well, I've always felt that your weight is somewhat relative to the scale you use. I don't care if this scale weighs me 30 pounds more than at the doctor's office (which it doesn't) because THIS is the scale I weigh on regularly. If I lose 10 pounds on this scale, I would imagine I would've lost the same 10 pounds on the doctor's scale. The actual number doesn't interest me - it's the difference between the numbers that does. So... to answer the question, I don't know if it weighs me the same as the doctor's scale. I don't care if it does or not.
