 (5 stars) - Writes So Nicely
This pen writes beautifully and effortlessly. The ink flows easily from the first use until empty. These pens don't skip, they don't take a long time to get going. They're very comfortable in the hand. I'm a leftie and I agree with what a previous reviewer said about leftie smudging, but I have yet to find a gel pen where that doesn't happen, so I didn't find this any worse than any of the others.
(5 stars) - Excellent for Outdoor Work
My writing instruments don't live pampered lives, and this is by far the most reliable pen I've ever owned. This pen writes smoothly, lays just the right amount of ink on the page, and doesn't have the fragile tips and propensity to leak like Pilot's V5/V7 pen. The G2 *is* an ugly pen, but it is comfortable to hold and performs well even in freezing weather. Even the tone of the blue ink is exactly right. Don't let the looks put you off!

 (1 stars) - Worst. Pen. Ever
I challenge the #1 gel pen claim here. I've never really hated a pen, but this one I loathe! Just bought of 5 pack of these suckers, and I'm getting rid of these cursed scribes. Not one writes without 'stoppage'. The tips dry up too quickly, making them useful only for carving out your intended message. That might be great for cavemen, but I'd prefer a gel pen that rolls smoothly along the paper. If I don't see one of these G2s for a 1,000,000 years, it'll be too soon.
 (4 stars) - Not a good choice for lefties.
This is actually a nice pen. The ink just flows out of it without any effort and it looks elegant on paper. The grip is nice and comfortable, especially with that little grip cushion. It's also retractable, which I prefer to the capped variety.
However, this is not a good pen for lefties like me. It just smudges much too easily, and most lefties will know what I mean. If your job requires lots of writing, this can be a problem. For right-handers, this is a terrific pen, which is why I give it four stars (5 stars for right-handers, 2 stars for lefties).
