Product Reviews (3 stars) - It takes a while but it works It takes a while for it to stay flat on the floor, but after that it does its job.
(1 stars) - Never uncoils and stays flat. Never. Never. I have tried this product and I cannot use it anywhere I tried it. As other have said, it comes tightly rolled up. It NEVER, EVER quits trying to roll back up. Hence, while you buy this to lay flat so that no one trips or sees unsightly cords, it does not fulfill it's function. It is frustrating and time wasting.
(1 stars) - I thought all cord covers were the same I bought this because it was cheaper than cord covers I see in retail stores. My thoughts with this purchase were, "Cord cover is cord cover, they can't be that different", "This cost less than the ones I've purchased in the ____ store", "It has the Belkin name attached to it, so it's probably decent".
This cord cover looked fine as I removed it from the box, however after I trimmed it to the length I needed and placed cord inside, I noticed all cord cover isn't the same!
My main complaint is that the bottom flaps, that are for holding the cord/cable, aren't very close together, it's almost like an open channel. I placed a rather thick wire in there, though not more than it could handle, and the flaps at the bottom don't want to grip and stay shut. Compared to the store-bought, no-name, double the price, cord concealer I have. That no-name cord concealer is heavier, and it grips whatever I shove into the bottom of it.
Belkin, even with a thick cable, it's too open at the bottom.
I know there is double-sided tape, but I move stuff around, and can't tape this to the floor. Taped to the floor, I'm guessing this lack of grip wouldn't be an issue, because it woudl be stuck to the floor.
Curled ends I can deal with. Eventually they settle down, sometimes with help from me. That's somethign I expect from cord concealer.
This cord concealer is a disappointment. If you're planning to tape this to the floor, than I guess it's OK. If you don't plan on taping this onto the floor, look at something else.
(4 stars) - Average Cord Concealer that does the job After reading other reviews for this product I had reservations about purchasing this it. However, if you look in stores you will find that this cord concealer is like most of the others out there. Keep in mind that it does come curled inside a smaller box. So you should certainly lay it out for awhile before ever trying to apply it to the floor. If you take it directly from the box and tape it to the floor it will most certainly curl and come back up. Give it some time, possibly with some weight to get it straight again. Then apply it the floor. There are concealers available that are made of hard molded plastic if you want something that will not bend. But obviously those are hard, not soft, which may not be recommended for some surfaces. It just depends on the look and floor that you are crossing.
You will not fit a bunch of cables in this concealer, so if you are wanting to fit 4 or more you should be looking at a larger variety of concealer. You should be able to fit 3 in here and possibly 4 depending on size. I would play it safe and consider 2 to 3 to be the max, especially if you about putting power cables or coax cables in it. Keep in mind though, that if you want a larger concealer to hold more cables, it will obviously be more of an eyesore.
This cord concealer gets the job done and was one of the few that matched the color of the floor I was covering. Overall, recommended if it fits your particular needs.
(3 stars) - A great wire organizer I have 4 wires that looks very unsightly so I used these cord concealers to organize them. It's just hard to keep them taped to the floor but they sure look nice and neat!
