Tripp Lite's DCATV offers type F coax line surge suppression for satellite receivers and broadcast antennas. Convenient coax input and output connections accept standard type F coax wiring. Surge suppression is handled with balanced arrays of high-speed avalanche diodes that divert excess energies created by electrostatic discharges, faulty wiring or lightning. Tripp Lite network surge suppressors reduce blown interface connections by safely shunting data-line surges to ground. Six-inch heavy gauge grounding lead connects to designated grounding lugs. Not for use with cable modems. Suppression: 1 set type F coax jacks, protects center and shield, 7.5V clamping

I got two of these units to intergrate in to my cable system I have a double feed comming into my house. Both units caused interfearince on my tv's those ghost line's and snowy picture.When I disconect them out of the system the pitcher's cleared up.Theres a chance these units are not
compadable with the new high end broadband cable system, buyer beware.
