(2 stars) - Keeps Beverages Warm for Hours But Not Leakproof, Dishwasher Not Recommended
The tumbler's best feature is that it can keep beverages warm for hours, at least 3, often more. It's also relatively easy to hand-wash.

However, there are more cons than pros.

First, it is not leak-proof. If you jostle it at all when it's full, sometimes just from speed-walking, you will notice leakage at the top. This is a result of the flip-top lid, so make sure you're very careful. I've definitely had a few times where I got some unwanted coffee splashes.

Secondly, most importantly, the plastic around the cap that keeps the lid tight and insulated will start to deteriorate and affect the taste of the beverage. You can look through any of the other 1-2 star reviews to see some more detailed descriptions of the problem, but it's definitely true. I bought two of these because I was so pleased with the initial purchase. After awhile, however, I started to notice a difference in the taste of my coffee on varying days and looked it up to find that other reviewers had the same problem.

Thirdly, it's not recommended for dishwasher use. Other reviewers have said that they've washed it in the dishwasher with no problem, but I just wanted to point out that this is not recommended by the manufacturer.

So, in conclusion, if you're desperate for a quick-fix until you find a better tumbler, this will work for a bit but I wouldn't recommend it for long-term use simply because of the taste/plastic-health concerns.

(5 stars) - Best purchase ever!
I read all the reviews and decided to buy this and give it a try. Most reviews were about how great this was for coffee and hot drinks. I use mine for Diet soda. I will not drink it if it is warm and watered down. This tumbler keeps soda cold for at least 10 - 12 hours with ice left inside. Love it! Don't hesitate to buy one for yourself or as a gift!

(3 stars) - Keeps it HOT but......
This is an incredible product for keeping your beverage hot or cold. It amazes me how well it works as many others have commented BUT I think it has a serious design flaw also as mentioned by others. There is a rubber gasket on the inside of the cup and whatever you are drinking gets trapped under it and really cannot get out without VIGOROUS washing. I run this through the dishwasher after every use because of this. It's really a great product but every other insulated mug I have doesn't have that gasket (yuk) problem. I suspect all the great reviews haven't discovered this as it took me a while until I noticed the odd smell inside the cup. Lifted the gasket and "old" coffee (latte) came out and was pretty gross. If it weren't for the gasket problem I would rate it a 5-star but having to wash it really well after each use causes me to leave it sit on the shelf and I grab my old one instead... too bad really.

(5 stars) - Nothing beats this!
I bought this travel mug a few years ago for my husband who loves coffee but is always on the run and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. It kept his coffee hot for hours, even when it was left in the car in the freezing cold winter. In the summer, we drink iced coffee and found that it works just as well keeping our coffee cold in the car when it's scorching outside. We both have one now and use it almost everyday. After years of everyday use, the coffee did stain the inside a little and the rubber seal started to wear so I just purchased it again to replace our old ones. Worth every cent and then some!

Of the many similar products available, this one from "Thermos Nissan" is by far the best I have seen. It does not leak. It keeps my drink hot or cold far longer than others I have tried. I highly recommend this product.
