This session ranks great for safety and content and makes yoga accessible to anyone who "always wanted to, but never did." (3 stars) - really basic
Having never done yoga before I was pleased with the level of description and thought that went into this DVD. It certainly gave me a basic understanding of yoga. That said, having worked through the basic routine five times I find working to the DVD really annoying as it doubles the time the exercises should take and I find myself doing it on my own. Yet to try the intermediate level yet though. Bottom line is: if you've not done yoga before then this is great but don't expect to be pulling it off the shelf every day.

i have really enjoyed this yoga dvd, the instructor is very good. reassuring, nice calm voice, asks you to push yourself, but not hurt yourself. the "for dummies" parts can be a little distracting, but i'm sure that after several times i won't even notice them any more.

(5 stars) - Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies
This is an excellent video. A lot of people try to do yoga but stop because they are in pain or they twist the wrong way. This video makes sure that doesn't happen. There are step by step instructions through the whole video, making sure that your back and knees are protected at all times. There are also alternative ways to do the poses, for those who have a bad back or something, they can use a chair. While you are doing the poses, you also get educated about where yoga originated and what the benefits are of it. Susan is an awesome teacher, she makes you feel good about what you are doing and after you are done, you aren't in any pain, you feel very much at peace and relaxed.

I am 68 years young, and had never practiced any yoga. I bought Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies to supplement my twice weekly introductory classes, and it is perfect for my needs. It gives me the Daily Dozen poses to help me in between formal class sessions. It delivers what the name promises, and is a perfect way to start the day.

Really good program for the beginner. Walks you through each exercise with consise explanations on each pose. Very happy with the product and would purchase additional items by the same trainer.
