This video was produced in 1999 prior to the anthrax mail attacks of 2001. Apparently this event caused the band to consider changing their name, but they decided to keep it.

Songs on this video are as follows: Ball Of Confusion, Caught In A Mosh (live), Bring The Noise, Nothing, Black Lodge, I'm The Man (live), Among The Living, Only, Got The Time (live), Room For One More, Indians (live), Hy Pro Glo, Fueled, I Am The Law (live) and Inside Out. Total 80 mins.

If you were a fan of Anthrax between 1985 and 1991 and stopped listening to them after "Persistence of Time," don't waste your money on this. Like everything else that happened to our favorite thrash and metal bands, it'll just depress you. Even fans of Anthrax after 1991 should be turned off by this DVD's poor video and audio quality. The Persistence of Time tour was one of the biggest metal tours that year, not to mention Anthrax was getting regular rotation on MTV's Headbangers Ball. They should've had plenty of money to record it right.

Ever since I first heard a poorly-recorded mishmash of unlabeled Anthrax songs on a cassette tape, I have been a fan. These underrated, highly musical thrashers have earned my respect as musicians, songwriters, social commentators, and people. I have all of their albums dating back to Spreading The Disease (minus a few of the "I'm The Man" EPs and live albums). When I saw that they had released a DVD, I nearly wet myself with delight. I went and bought it the next day, and I don't think I've ever been so happy over a purchase as I was over this. A great collection of music videos, live footage, and random videoclips from Anthrax's personal vault, well-organized by a simple, user-friendly interface all make this DVD a must-have for any fan of the band. My only complaint was that there are no music videos for any songs prior to "The Sound Of White Noise" (I believe someone else has that complaint as well), however the songs they did choose were awesome. Even my friend Matt who thrives on odd-tempo jazz and neo-classical epics from India LOVES Anthrax and this DVD. I even made him (and myself) a "best of" Anthrax compilation which I gave the same name as this review. In case any of you are interested, this is the tracklisting I chose for that: (1)A.I.R.; (2)Among The Living; (3)Caught In A Mosh; (4)Efilnikufesin (N.F.L.); (5)Now It's Dark; (6)Finale; (7)Intro To Reality/Belly Of The Beast;(8)In My World; (9)Room For One More; (10)Nothing; (11)Fueled; (12)Inside Out; (13)604; (14)Toast To The Extras; (15)Cupajoe; (16)Alpha Male; (17)Giving The Horns; (18)Friggin' In The Riggin'. As for 604 and Cupajoe, those were just taking up the sumodd 2:00 minutes of spare time I had on the CD, which is now a damned full 79:30!! Anyways, ANY fan of Anthrax MUST have this DVD, and it MUST BE CRANKED UP while being watched!! ROCK ON to all those fans of ANTHRAX out there!! Those extras they're toasting to, I like to think of those as us... so a toast to us extras, AMONG THE LIVINNNNGG!!! Give those horns high, later.

(4 stars) - Great DVD
Anthrax's DVD is very similar to Pantera's home videos in a lot of ways, namely the band's personal home videos and the way the music videos are scattered throughout the presentation. A big plus on here is Anthrax's reunion performance with original frontman Joey Belladonna, and it is utterly hilarious watching Joey and Scott Ian face off performing "I'm the Man". A must for every Anthrax fan.

Most people know Joey Belladonna as the singer for anthrax but when John Bush joined the band,ANTHRAX suddenly became a tighter, stronger, and dare I say heavier band. No high pitch screams of the Joey days, a raspy, bluesy straight forward singer takes Anthrax to a different level. The song writing, the energy, the power of this band is at it's best with John Bush out front.
