This video is a must-have for Thoroughbred racing fans. The best part is that it has full length video of his three Triple Crown victories. If you got to see Secretariat run his races in "real time", this video will bring back great memories. If you never saw him run, watching this video will give you insight into the kind of racehorse it takes win the Triple Crown.

(5 stars) - Secretariat - A Legend!
I bought this tape shortly after Secretariat's death in the late 1980's. I wonder if people today know how much of a superhorse, a legend, this horse really was. How absolutely incredible he was. Today, because of the movie everything is Seabiscuit - Secretariat would have murdered that horse in a trot! I was privileged to watch the triple crown races in 1973 - after 25 years, this powerhouse came along and romped thru the three triple crown races - winning the Belmont by an amazing 31 lengths! His records still stand - he was a legend we may not see again in our lifetime! We can however, watch his genius on this tape. His triple crown races and the amazing Belmont victory are all there. You'll watch it more than once, I guarranty it.

(5 stars) - Spectacular Look at a Spectacular Horse
So we all know who Secretariat is and was. However, I don't think Secretariat was a superhorse like Time or Life would say he was, I believe he was flesh and bone like any other racehorse. Sure, he was a freak of nature! I won't argue with that. I mean, this guys heart was 4 times the size of any other throughbred ever!

In this video, you learn everything about Secretariat. His rivals, his owner, trainer, jockey, and most importantly his groom. In this documentary, you'll learn that Penny Tweedy became the owner of this magnificent horse with pure luck and nothing more. Rare footage of his first race is included, where the two-year-old was nothing more than just another two-year-old. You'll also find out why Secretariat almost didn't win the Kentucky Derby (and possibly could have been withdrawn from the race period). Learn about the leggy colt who whooped up on Secretariat in the Travers. See everything about his life (and sadly, death) in this one video. I do have to agree with the other reviewer that you will need a box of tissues at the end.

Secretariat never made a name for himself after the racing world (at least I think), but he is one hell of a broodmare sire!

If you're one of the lucky people who got to experience Secretariat first hand, then you'll re-live the chills and experience the greatness that was/is Secretariat! If you've never seen Secretariat, you will be in awe of his races, especially the 31-length Belmont victory that sealed the Triple Crown! All three Triple Crown races are presented wire to wire. Be forewarned, you will need a box of tissue toward the end.

This is a video I would just love to see. I am 12 years old and I am deaf. My problem is that these videos don't have Closed Caption. I was so excited when I saw this video advertised on the Internet and then realized that it probably doesn't have Closed Caption. Do you know if it does?
