Product Reviews (2 stars) - Disappointment With the title, I expected a book choke full of tricks that I could train my dog. I was really looking forward to learning new tricks to teach my terriers. I was quite disappointed. It is a 196 page book. The very first beginning trick started on page 86. Then after a couple of chapters of tricks, it started describing other dog activities. Tricks that I can teach my dog are less than half of a book called "The Only Tricks Book You'll Ever Need".
The tricks are all the same old same old too; shake, high five, wave, beg, roll over, hold, fetch, bow, then all of them repeated, but now since they're involving more than one dog at a time they're supposed to be new. Between my terriers, there is a total of ONE trick in this book that my dogs didn't know, because they are not allowed to open the refridgerator.
This book would only be useful to people that have never ever trained a dog to do tricks before.
(5 stars) - The best training guide I've encountered I'm no pro, but out of ALL the training books I have purchased, this one is the best I have ever come across for training my dog. It is WONDERFUL. A+
(4 stars) - Great book You will enjoy and learn alot about how to train your dogs to do tricks. I am a vet tech and give this book to clients as a gift after training sessions have ended.
(4 stars) - Nice book I really like this book but some of the tricks are hard to teach my dog. Since I've gotten the book, we've done about 4 tricks. The instructions are very easy to follow and just may need some modification based on how your dog learns.
(1 stars) - No photos - returned the book This book sounded like the only book I'd need to train my dog to do tricks...but what a disappointment it was...there are no photos and you need to see what the instructions are all about without trying to visualize yourself. I returned the book and ordered a much, much better book with lots of great, colorful photos on every page. I recommend wholeheartedly "101 Dog Tricks, Step by Step Activities to Engage, Challenge, and Bond with Your Dog." This book is truly the ONLY book you'll ever need.
