We've found some of the recipes to be quite disappointing. Did someone really try these out before publishing them in the book?

I love that the ingredients are kept simple and tells you what size crock pot to use. Also the fact that it gives suggestions on different ingredients you can use to change the receipe if you like.

I bought this cookbook because my husband & I got a crockpot for Christmas just before we got married. With a toddler running around the house & a baby on the way (not to mention me with NO cooking skill to speak of), I simply wasn't willing OR able to spend all evening over the stove making dinner. This book is FILLED with awesome recipes that are easy, taste good (and make your house smell great too!).
Not only that, but I was able to get a weeks worth of ingredients for dinners for under $50! So it's great for families on a budget too! I would DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone who wants to be able to make a good dinner without all the hassle.

 (2 stars) - You can only eat so much cream soup!
I noticed immediately that any recipe that could be made a meal contains AT LEAST one can of cream soup. Some needed even 2-3 cans of coup and especially when you are only using 5 ingredients, thats alot! not to mention you dont need a cookbook to give you 30 variations of cream soups, chicken, salt and pepper!
there just isnt anything creative at all, just recipes very close to the ones on the back of the soup cans (but with less ingredients) altered for the slow cooker instead of the oven. everything needs a great deal more seasoning as well.
The recipes are somewhat tasty and filling, but they are all so similar that I never use the book.
